Students’ testimonials and opinions

Whilst studying, she worked as a dresser for the brand Sunnei, and at the castings for the Grinko and Zambelli fashion shows.
She remembers with great enthusiasm the input she received from the external visits that were part of her course. To name a few: attending fashion shows during the Milan Fashion Week, visiting museums such as Armani Silos and Fondazione Prada, and guided visits around showrooms and stores.
All of this, united with her self-will and determination, has allowed her to enter the world of work straight away after finishing her Master’s Course: she is currently a Press Office Review Intern at Dolce & Gabbana.
MASTER FASHION COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT

Talking about her experience at ADL as it draws to an end, Chiara feels that she’s learnt to develop her own way of thinking and her own research method which she mainly concentrates on the current social climate. She has furthermore learnt to engage with important work environments which have allowed her to grow, mature and be ready to face professional challenges with greater awareness and confidence in her ability.
Right from the start of her training she has been involved in the Milan Fashion Week, working in the backstage of fashion shows. She has succeeded in balancing her studies with the job opportunities she’s been presented with whilst at school. She has started to work as an assistant Fashion Editor and Stylist, taking photos and doing research for the editorials of magazines such as Vogue,l’Officiel, D larepubblica and Marie Claire.

Sonia, now at the end of her course, describes ADL as an environment that offers understanding, professionalism, and art in fashion. She considers the teachers who she has come into contact with to be skilled experts who have known how teach her, with love, a discipline which is difficult to impart.
Accademia del Lusso has given her the chance to take part in a number ofevents for practical fieldwork during her course: she has been contacted on various occasions to provide backstage support during the Milan Fashion Week, and she has always taken part, with her creations, in the end-of-year fashion shows organised by the school. In 2017, she won the ComON competition which gave her international exposure, displaying her clothes both during the Milano Unica (Milan) and Premiere Vision (Paris) exhibitions.
FASHION DESIGN

I only knew what turned out to be just the front cover of an intricate system made up of numerous and multi-talented people working behind the scenes of what the average person would consider as the fireworks of fashion; that spark of magic.
My unripe knowledge developed thanks to the expertise of my teachers and to the interesting and practical courses.
I’ve had some unique experiences, like living the backstage frenzy of catwalks during fashion week, feeling the complex processing of the imagination to conceive and organise a fashion photo shoot, and I’ve come into direct contact with real businesses in the sector.
They’ve been three demanding years, and hard work from a professional and personal point of view, but I’d do them again without thinking about it twice.”
3-YEAR COURSE – FASHION STYLING & EDITING

Lessons were really interesting and relevant, and the most important thing is that alongside the ‘theoretical’ lessons there’s also ‘practical’ work to carry out in the field, which allows students to get closer to the world of work.
I actually participated with a great sense of achievement as a dresser at the Harmont & Blein Fashion Show during Men’s Fashion Week in Milan, and as a dresser and backstage support (as well as a model) at the Abstract Feelings Fashion Show organised by Accademia del Lusso.”
FASHION STYLING

I particularly appreciated the helpfulness demonstrated by the teachers, who supported me both during lesson time and – even more importantly – out of school time.
I currently work as an Assistant Fashion Designer and continue to realise how essential and relevant the skills learnt during the course are in preparing students for the work environment.”
ASSISTANT FASHION DESIGNER

The teachers helped and encouraged me to nurture my talent, and thanks to their support I participated in the 13th Competition of Italian Fashion in Riccione (XXIII Concorso Riccione Moda Italia), winning an important prize.”
FREELANCER AT CASTOR

The teachers are knowledgeable, professional and very willing to help, often coming exactly from the work environment that we students are aiming to get into: the perfect combination for whoever wants to acquire a solid foundation to start building a career in fashion.”
GIORGIO ARMANI PRESS OFFICE

The school always cared about my job status, organising a few interviews for me and helping me find a job in the world of fashion.
Ultimately, Accademia del Lusso made me believe I could achieve my dreams.”
DESIGNER FOR ALBERTO PIATTELLI

I believe that the preparation acquired is of marked importance, and this I realise directly on the job.
I’d recommend attending Accademia del Lusso’s courses, but only if you’re absolutely sure you want to follow lessons with head and heart, because it’s not only about getting a qualification that will open all the doors, but about laying the foundations for a professional figure who is able to grow with a solid grounding.”
SALES FOR ITALY AT SAITT

In particular, I found the module in Business Management very useful, as it gave me a series of entrepreneurial skills which I believe are essential for starting a career in the fashion industry.”
ENTREPRENEUR GOLD BLACK STYLE / IMAGE CONSULTANT AND PERSONAL SHOPPER

Currently I manage my own clothing line and I am putting into practice all that Accademia del Lusso taught me.
In particular, the Master’s Course gave me a complete vision of how to manage a business, not only from the creative point of view but also from a managerial prospective.”
